CE Executive Officer
Executive Officer, supporting all regions
Hello, my name is Christine; I was born in Brisbane, lived all over Australia and overseas as a child in an Army family – taught in Canberra schools for over 30 years
I have been involved with the Catholic School Parents Archdiocese Canberra Goulburn for about 6 months – I took over from Tim Smith in January 2018 and it was an honour to be appointed as executive Officer. I love being involved with this group of parents and the potential of what we can achieve together.
I love walking with my dog Archie, going to Broulee with my family, and going to live music events with friends. I love holidays and I crochet and cross-stitch with friends for relaxation.
I joined the council because I have 3 children who have all attended Catholic schools, and know the importance of engaging with parents and families in creating positive outcomes for all students. Working with the CSPACG council provides me with the opportunity to continue and promote this support for all families across all 56.
My family, husband Wolf, sons Nicky (23), James (21) and Alexander (19), and my extended family, parents, siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephew are my greatest passion along with my other role in Catholic Education which is with the Inclusion and Wellbeing team. I am passionate about inclusive practices in our schools and the importance of ensuring that everyone is welcome and belongs in our schools.
As a teacher who has worked most recently in the area of support for students with additional needs, I see our Catholic schools as being places of wonder, learning and peace where every student can achieve their very best, with a focus on inquiry, learning and fun.
